Question Fat Bob Windshield

I just got a HD windshield for my 08 Fat Bob. I don't plan using it around town, just for long rides and on the highway. After I got it installed it was time for a test ride. The only problem I have with it is that it makes me feel like a bobble head. The wind comming off the top of the windshied causes my helmet to jiggle all over. I am ready to sell it on ebay. Does anyone have any advise? Here are some pics of the shield installed.

I had a QD shield on my FXDC when I got it, and yeah, it beat my head until I couldn't see straight. I bought a Windvest, and all's right with the world again.

I had the same problem. Just undo the four alans and tilt it forward about 1/2 way and then tighten them down. It took care of my bobble head.

I have the same windshield and I don't have any problems. Try what JaronB said.

I had the same problem and I raised it up as high as it would go on the forks and that fixed it. Looks like from your pictures that it is all the way up though. Try what JaronB did. Looks like a good idea.

You really have to play with them to get them adjusted right and it varies on what works for everyone.

The littlest thing makes a change. I finally got mine in the right spot then got a new seat and it was bad again. I got it adjusted again then added shorter shocks on the back and now I need to find the sweet spot again.

If you want to trade let me know.... Always hard to find the perfect balance of looks and function imo.

I have the same bike and windshield.
I also wear one of two helmets; one is a half, the other is a three quarter with a face shield.

When I wear the ¾ helmet while using the windshield I get the “head in the paint shaker” thing… but with the windshield in the same position while wearing the ½ helmet… no shaky at all.

Keep trying different things… you’ll miss that windshield w/in the 1st 50 miles of your first 1,000 mile ride.
