I have the same windshield and I have no buffeting problems with it but I HATE how it looks, and I also hate looking through plastic when I ride.
I plan to cut it down so it's not so freakin huge, taking care of both problems. I did this with a similar windshield on my former FXDL and was very happy with it. I even had several people ask me where I got the short shield cause they wanted one.
I have the same windshield with some buffeting problems. I put a harley windshield bag on the inside of the shield and it improved a lot. I have the HD full face with the tip up chin guard and prefer to have it up in town riding but on the rode it comes down and I could almost prefer no windshield. Mike
I'm having the same issue. I'm still tinkering with the exact combination that works for me. I have raised and lowered the windshield as much as possible to get a different result. I have also tried changing out helmets for longer rides to see if that somehow impacts the air deflection. I think part of my problem, as noted already in this thread, is that I truly hate looking through the plastic when on the road. I'm thinking the 3/4 helmet with a plastic face guard and no windshield seems to work best.
Also, I also received a ticket from HD for the museum. It's on my desk in an envelope waiting to send it to someone--send me your mailing address and it's yours.
