Question FXDB strut covers on a FXDF

Tried to put the Streeb Bob covers on my Fat Bob. The upper shock mounts are to short, shock hits the covers before it bottoms out on the mount. Anyone done this before?

never tried that - I have a street bob though so no surprise there.....if you end up not being able to use the FXDB strut covers I'd love to take em off your hands - got a bit of a project in mind.

I put chrome lowrider strut covers on my Fatbob...had the same problem...got around it by carefully cutting out the area that the stock shock touched with a dremel tool. Looks perfect/clean

Looks tough. I think I'm going to lose the center taillight next winter.
