My gf just installed Easy Brackets on her Lowrider and after seeing them I'm thinking I just might decide to do the same on the Bob so I can mount bags when I take trips. The mounts left behind when the brackets are off aren't very obtrusive - no black plastic bushings like the HD ones have, so they fade into the strut covers to some extent.
Issue is my '07 Bob has brushed rather than chrome strut covers. According to the parts manual, # 60220-07 and 60223-07. I also see listing for covers for the FXDC and FXDL (59138-06 and 59171-06). Can anyone tell me whether these are chrome and will they bolt onto my bike? Zanotti's has them for $75 each which is a bit steep but probably worth it since they'd match my new chrome console.
I do not know about the part numbers you listed but when I priced them at harley they were about $95 bucks apiece. Instead I had mine polished, they are brushed stainless steel and easily polish up to a chrome like mirror finish. Cost was $40 for both.
Thanks! Confirms my thought that chrome looks best with the chrome console. Not anxious to drop another couple of C notes but what else are obsessions for, right?
