Default strut covers

I was gonna pull the rear fender strut covers and paint/coat em black. I was thinking though - since the struts themselves are black can I just ditch the covers? will the shocks mount right back up? what about the rear signals? any mods required?

I don't think you will have a problem since that's how the new street bob come.

Yeah man, they mount in the same location.. I actually relocated my signals, and took off those UGLY chrome stalks seperating the signals and struts.. those things stuck out so bad and were just downright hideous.
