How I got my 2007 street bob:

CRASHED my Harley Custom on the freeway, no jacket, ouch...
Insurance Totaled the bike (it caught fire).
Payed me much more than what I paid for it because it was custom and i got a good deal.

My friends told me I had to look at the new street bob in denim black,
I seen it and Loved it, I had to get it.....
Unfortunately I paid $16,100 out the door for it, this was after talking them down
and going to another dealer also... (they originally wanted 17,400 out the door)

My wife said go get what you want. Picked out a Street Bob. That's how it happened. She also does the laundry, takes care of the kids, and is pretty decent to me.

She got a raise and I got a bike.

I went with the wife to the dealer to "just look" and was drawn to the FXD. While I was looking at it the wife said "what about this one". A red FXDC in the corner. I said that there was no way we could afford it and she asked "don't you still have that retirement account from when you were in the union". A lightbulb went off above my head and I knew it would be mine.
I had the money by that friday and it was the second best decision I ever made.

Rescued mine from my son. He bought it in 05 .. 06 model superglide. He rode it for 2K miles / 5 months then parked it under the oak tree in the back for almost 3 years. You can imagine what it looked like sitting out uncovered in the hot Texas humidity. Covered in oak leaves and crap. I rescued her.

Bought my 2008 Fatbob on craigslist. Had a 2006 sporty 1200c that I bought to see what I thought of HDs. Had it for 34 days and saw the FXDF on the web. Called the guy on craigslist and found out he had won it at a casino along with a 2008 Rocker-C and $30,000 cash in a pull tab game. He is a pro gambler and bought out the remaining part of the game when it was ripe. Laid down $50.000 cash and pulled 50,000 tabs 13 hours straight. When he was done selling bikes he netted $12,000. Sold me the Fatbob for $14,600 my buddy got the Rocker-c for $17,500, and the casino picked up all the taxes. 2008 Fatbob black pearl in my garage for $14,600 everything paid for. Ride safe Mike.

I sold my first street bike a few years ago (a 2003 Yamaha R6) and ended up missing riding more than I thought. So I decided to get another bike and wanted a cruiser type and what better than a Harley. So i went to the dealer set on buying a Nightster and after test riding one and a used Super Glide went with the Super Glide. It then took me all of 2 weeks to trade that in on a brand new Street Bob that I am sure I will own for many years to come!

My buddy on the other hand was out riding with his wife the other day and said he had to stop buy the dealer to ask them about getting some work done (he just wanted to stop and look at the new bikes and maybe buy a shirt he told me) his wife then began complaining that he should have just bought a new bike so he wouldn't have to do any work to it. So the next day he drove his new 09 Fat Boy over to show me! It goes back to the dealer Tuesday to get the stage 1 treatment. I got a kick out of that when he told me.

Went in to look at/buy a Fat Boy in Oct. 07...saw the leftover 07 WG. I lusted it. Salesperson offered me $2300 off list and no fees except taxes. Offered me pipes, A/C and SERT at dealer cost with no labor charge. Couldn't say no and am still glad I didn't. I paid $15K for the bike and another $1000 for pipes, SERT, A/C, grips, pegs and pedals all installed. $16K plus tax.
