Started on a Honda Sabre 1100 back in '03. Wanted a Harley WG, and test rode one but oh well. Last year I picked up a Heritage. It was great at first, but once the honeymoon phase left I felt I needed more gitty up. Enter the Street Bob, and reading everyone's threads I listed after it. Picked one up today...life is awesome.
I agree with you about the Heritage. Never grew to like the one I got back in '05.
Congrats on the new Dyna. You won't be disappointed, I assure you.
Coming of a 2006 sporty 1200 for the last 6 years I decided it was time to step up to a mans bike. I have always loved the Dyna platform as the sporty was super comfy for my build and ride style. My buddy fell into financial troubles so i was dead set on picking up his 2010 wide glide, I had rode it many times and loved it. Well turns out his dad wanted it more then me so that fell through. I had the new bike itch tho so I decided to see if I like any of the other dyna's as much as the wide glide. After test riding a super glide and the street bob, I feel in love with the feel of the bob. I was on the search for about 4 months for the best deal on a used 2012+ denim black street bob.
Finally my local dealer called and they got a denim black in on trade.
this thing was beat to ****. whoever had this thing must not have owned a garage, for a 2012 it was rusty, the paint looked like hell and the pipes were pitted like crazy. While I was there I noticed two new bikes they had just got in, the hard candy silver and the amber whiskey. I had told myself i would never buy a brand new bike, but that orange was screaming at me. After a month of trying to sell my sporty and going back and forth with the dealer on the right deal, finally i ended up picking it up the last day of May for a crazy deal, and was able to keep my sporty! Needless to say i haven't stopped smiling or spending money on it yet!

I don't have a Dyna yet, but I'm saving up for a new one. I want to pay for it in full. I'm even mowing my elderly neighors lawns, odd jobs, etc. for some extra cash.
I knew I wanted a Dyna and I knew that I wanted an Evo. After missing out on a few that I wasn't quick enough for this came up on CL. I drove 30 min on a crisp 15 degree Jan morning to look at it. It only had 7500 miles, had new Avons, and a seat and pipes that I really liked. Best of all is that it looked brand new. No rust or scratches. After a very cold and short test ride I handed him $4500 and put my "new" 98 Superglide on the trailer and took it home. Every time I ride it I like it more.
