Has anyone purchased the HD Sidekick Seat? (The regular NOT the Custom)

I have a couple of questions: Did it raise, or lower the seating position, and did it put you closer, or further from the controls?

Overall, how satisfied are you with the seat?

Is the rider section any different than that on the Custom model? It doesn't look like it to me - only the passenger sections look difference. Anyway, compared to stock on my 05 FXDCI, the Sidekick puts me lower and further back. The seat is considerably firmer than stock, but that works for me as I prefer a firm seat. I've been happy with mine for the past 3 years.

 

Just sold my Sidekick for a touring seat...it looked considerably better but the missus got very uncomfortable very quickly, i personally didn't feel any difference from the stock solo seat. I'm 6'1" and didn't notice any change in the riding position either...I think they are over priced tho, here in the UK they are £300 as opposed to £200 for a touring/sundowner, i presume they're similary priced in the US too.

 

Mine moved me back and down slightly.
