I want to get V&H Straight Shot slip ons for my 09 FXDC, but should I wait until I have all of the money for an air cleaner and PCV before installing them? I put Short Shots on my Nightster without the download or air cleaner and got a helluva lot of popping. Don't want to do the same with this bike. Any suggestions?

I'm no expert on exhausts and I'm looking to replace my stock exhaust too. Just have to figure out which one I'm gonna go with. Considering what happened with your Nightster I think you answered your own question. Might as well get it all done at once. I am.
