Yesterday I went on a 300 mile run.It was the first time I have ever done a mpg test. I was quite surprised actually. In town my bike sucks fuel.Maybe 30 mpg tops. On the highway though I got 47.5 mpg. Alot better than I had anticipated. Don

Glad to hear that. I was a tad concerned how mine would do on a trip. Around town and casual riding, my 09 FXDC is doing about as you described, a little over 30 mpg.

I'm seeing about 43mpg on the interstates at 75-80mph. Don't ride much in the city, so I don't pay any attention.

VERY nice!!

It's good to see you didn't really lose mileage due to your high horses.

Mine is just at a stage 1, with not being broke in (a bit over 500 miles) and the last trip I averaged about 45 mpg with mixed riding, mostly highway.

I'd say with the extra 30 horses your bike is making...your doing very well!!!!!!!!
