That's damn good Don. Last check I made was coming back from San Jose a week ago. Gassed up in Salem and kept it in 6th gear and 65mph all the way home. Refilled at 191 miles and did the math...45mpg.
As an average, I usually get 40-42, and a lot of that is around town. On mostly highway runs, I'm seeing upper 40's, and on one 3-hour straight highway run (~180 miles), the numbers said I got 51. Haven't looked at what it is when I ride 2-up. Regardless of what it is, it's still WAY better than my car, and LOTS more fun.
Yesterday I went on a 300 mile run.It was the first time I have ever done a mpg test. I was quite surprised actually. In town my bike sucks fuel.Maybe 30 mpg tops. On the highway though I got 47.5 mpg. Alot better than I had anticipated. Don
Wait till you do the 97, that will change lol. Actually, when we stopped and you asked me my milage this was the first time I even thought about what kind of milage I was getting since the build.
On the same trip I averaged 43 mpg Hwy, but around town it sucks...
