I'm not saying there aren't better jacks. But I certainly don't "make" mine work. It works just as it is designed to. Believe me, if you knew me, you'd know that if I thought it wasn't the right tool for the job, I'd go get the right tool. I got it when the sears catalog store here was going out of business for $59. It does for me what it is supposed to do, how it is supposed to do it. If it quits tomorrow, it has cost me $30 a year to use it. On the other hand, if it died the first time it was used (not the first time I happened to use someone else's), I'd probably be pissed and crapping all over it here too.

Got the red one a few years ago, on sale for about $50, I use a piece of 2 x 4 to level my bike and it works fine.

#1 on the adapters being JUNK. Halves just taped together and have the potential to come apart at some time, as mine did, almost dropping bike off jack. Thank God for the tiedowns. I modified my jack as seen in the picks. Bike "LOCKS" onto jack and can not move around at all, but still use tiedowns because I'm paranoid after first incident.

Still need to drive onto a ramp. Made one from 2" x 10" x 8' and cut into 3 pieces, center piece being between tires, that I pull out once bike is in place and roll juck into opening and jack her up. Stable as a rock and doesn't move around at all.

Welded three 1/2 half inch risers to a red jack and sliced 3/4 inch heater hose to slide over the frame to keep from scratching. Never removed the hose and no one has ever noticed it. Works!

I have a red one. No complaints here. I don’t see the big issue of riding up a couple pieces of wood to get it under. I can do a whole lotta shimming under my rear tire for $200 savings. I’m sure that J&S or whatever jack is really nice, but I’m not shelling out $300 on a jack.

My gripe is those Dyna blocks…. I don’t trust those things at all. My bike almost went over because of the blocks – not the lift. Apparently you really have to babysit those blocks to make sure they stay straight.

I have a red one. Hardly ever use it and when I did it worked fine. I would certainly get a J&S over the sears jacks though. Got mine for 80 bucks and I needed a cheap jack at the time.

There is a black and orange one for about $170! But it looks just like the yellow one I got from Harbor Freight. Been using it for about 5 years now without any problems!

Question, was is that Dyna frame spacer kit they are talking about? I use a small block of wood!
