Default 2010 Wide Glide Performance Question

Hello, I just purchased a 2010 Wide Glide. I am trying to decide on what type of intake, programmer and exhaust to put on the bike. I had a 09 Road King which I sold to my dad. I purchased the K&N intake, PCV and Jackpot mufflers for the road king from Fuelmoto and am extremely pleased with their service. I did search, but didn't find much helpful info on the items I am concidering. I would appreciate any suggestions and info on what items would look good and give some performance upgrades to my bike.

Thanks very much.

Greetings,

I just did what I normally have done to my bikes...Screaming Eagle intake, Screaming Eagle Race Tuner, and Vance and Hines ShortShot Staggered pipes. It's a good combination and with the race tuner there's flexibility for future engine upgrades.

Congrats on your new scoot! I installed a Performance Machine intake, PC-V, and 2.25 Rush slip-on's on mine. I purchased the PC-V and slip-on's from Fuelmoto. I'm very pleased with them. It really made a noticable difference. As soon as it stops raining around here I'm taking it to the dyno to see what the numbers look like. If need be I'll get it custom tuned. If the numbers look good I'm going to wait until I decide which full exhaust system I want. I just got the slip-on's until I can decide. As far as the intake goes, PM makes several different faceplates both in contrast cut and chrome.

Power Commander and Stage 1 air cleaner of your choosing is safe and the easy part. What do you want out of the exhaust? Looks, performance, or both? Chrome or Black? For performace, probably a good 2 into 1, which I know nothing about. Just looks, plenty to choose from. You can see what I'm partial to.

Thanks for all the info guys. Like I said above I was very pleased with my experience with fuel moto on my Road King. How are the PCV maps they provide for the wide glide. I really don't want to get my bike dyno tuned, or would I be better off getting the harley race tuner?

I am wanting performance and sound out of the pipes, in black!!!! I have looked at Thunderheader 2into1 and the new Vance and Hines swept 2into1 pipes. I just don't know if I want the rear swingarm exposed or covered.

Oh yea, that PM intake looks great, I will definately be checking into that.

Here's a link to the vance and hines, don't know if they come in black.

Thanks again for all the help.

If you don't want to dyno, the SERT is probably way overkill. I'm running a fuelpak for that reason and am happy with it. I think the FP works better with V&H's pipes than for others for some reason. But I won't get into that debate again on this board. PCV premapped from fuelmoto and you should be good to go.

I have the Screaming Eagle intake, tuner and V&H pipes on mine. It sounds good and performs good.
