I've debated handguards for a while, usually a couple months in the winter my mind wanders there, but I don't love the look.
I know, I know, function over form....I just sometimes wonder where the line gets drawn. "My motorcycle is too cold, the wind is too windy" etc etc...that's how you end up within a windshield, lower fairings, handguards, heated grips, heated seats, a CD player, a coffee mug holder and seat belts.

Forbidden risers is coming out with his version of hand guards soon. I'll be picking up a set They are like what Joe the powder pro used to make
I hear you...I personally think they look alright, plus the added function of the reinforced ones (cage crackers) is a nice idea...
I bought a couple of sheets of 3003 aluminum scrap. If got a prototype handgard together, but I've been to lazy to finish the job. I'll eventually finish them when it's gets about 90 degrees knowing me.
Cage crackers look to un-aesthetic to me. I like the dirt bike/at styled ones.
There are others on the market currently, but they all look out of place, just something off about them
but a nice set of powermadd's sure look great. Or at least to me

How bad can the wind chill really be in California? 2 weeks ago, the temperature was reaching down to -54C (-65F) with the wind here in Saskatchewan. At least you can still ride...
