Default mids with front peg mount kit

soon I will have my 2010 FXDC home. Mid's are stock so I ordered the adjustable peg mount kit # 49002-98. This way I can move my feet to the front when cruising. I was wondering if any one here has this set-up, if you do, is there room for pegs with a heel rest up front ?..Thanks.

It may not be the exact same setup, but I run highway pegs with heel rests.

It works. It is comfortable.

It looks WAY cluttered IMHO. BUT...I love the heel rests.

Here is a picture showing the setup if you look close.

I have this set-up on my FXD but I'm not a real big fan. I rebuilt the Dyna on a budget so I changed as little as possible. If I keep it, I'll probably throw some forward controls on it.

I spend more time on my highway pegs that come stock on the FXDL with mids best of both worlds. I love the ability change positions.

I like the highway pegs, but I don't use heel rests with them. I have Dually + heel rests on my midsets. I usually lay my legs up on the highway pegs, resting my heel on the top of the peg instead of the bottom of my foot.

When I get the chance to ride, it's usually long distance and my hips and back are in better shape sticking with the mids. So I don't use the highway pegs much. That said, I really like the heel rests and wouldn't ride without them, so I can imagine they're every bit as comfortable on the highway pegs.

Thanks guys for the info and the pics. ernajib I just got to thinking about putting heel rest pegs on my mids . I have never had mids, Sportster mids are to close for me, on my new Dyna the mids are forward more then a sporty, feels much better. I have a very bad back so I'm hoping the mids will help out on that. Now I will be able to move my feet from mid to forwards when I'm cruising...sounds great.
My new pipes will be here this Monday then some of the guys in my group and I will take them to the dealer to drop them off for install on the Friday after Thanksgiving.
after they install the stage-1 and the SEST they will deliver my bike to my home. this is the most excitement I've had since the first time I had sex... but I think this will last longer...a lot longer.

I originally thought that I wanted to get forward controls, but I got highway pegs in the mean time. Absolutely love the setup! Its great on the mids when cornering hard and burning throught the gears, but when I want to stretch out on the highway or long back roads, the pegs are perfect. Needless to say, I don't have to worry about dropping money on the forward control setup and can focus my money on another project.

I personally prefer the other way around,
forward control with mid rests..

Default Mids on a FXDL

I recently bought a 2002 FXDL. I kept the mids, but added chrome pegs as well as stirrups up front. I like them and I like the mids for in town driving.
