Default Evo Engine Tip To Watch For

Today I bought a wide front end for my Low Rider, and in talking with the guy, he said when you buy a wrecked Harley, especially with Evo, the have a tendency to break the skirt on the front jug, where it goes into the case. Turn the engine over by hand, SLOWLY, to see if it binds up, or remove the timing plug and put a wire up there, to see if it's loose.
Thought I'd post this for FYI.
Anybody else heard of this?
