All 06+ owners with Thunderheader 2-1 pipes need to look under your bike on the pipe-side, at the area where the mid-controls bolt to the frame.

There are two OEM 3/8 hex bolts that hold the mid-peg setup to the frame.

My pipe was chafing in these two bolts, only when the engine was running. Lots of clearance when the bike was off.

Feel the backside of the pipe for bolt marks.

Replace both bolts with dome-head allen or Torx bolts if yours is rubbing.
