+1 for vivid black. I haven't had a primered bike since the late 60's and that's just fine with me. Others may disagree but, as I recall, vivid black has always been the fastest color.

I think the best is Pewter Denim....but it ain't a choice for 2010 (Booooo!).

Of the two you listed, you can't go wrong either way. The Vivid Black looks boss, truly classic, and won't cost you an extra $450. Not to mention that a clean Black MC or car is the best looking thing on the road. However, Black Denim looks mean, tough, dark, and seems to be easier to take car of BUT it's $450 extra. It really depends on how you see your final bike design.

And not to make things more complicated for you but the Black Ice Denim is growing on me. Blue....Dark Purple.....Black......Blue......Dark Purple.....Black....it all depends on your angle and the amount of sun. I think if you added black pipes and AC, that would be an awesome combo to cruise the town in.

I prefer the vivid black over the denim anyday...I had black denim in the 60s and 70s when it was called primer....yeah it looks old school, but there aint nothing better than a shiny black bike after you just spent a couple hours cleaning it up. It's all a matter of preference though, if you like it, get it....hey some people like the inferno orange.

That what worries me. I want to buy a Black Denim Street Bob but that concerns me!

I saw both SB in Vivid Black and Black Denim. From my point of view I prefer how the Denim looks like!

Please let me paraphrase my wife when I say...why would you want a brand new fifteen thousand dollar motorcycle with dull paint?

Seems like the under 40 crowd likes the denim and the over 40 crowd likes the vivid and chrome. I like shinnie things myself and I like detailing them along with a cold one.
