Default What to do for lighting when Chopping the rear Fender

What are you guys using for lighting when you chop the rear fender? I would like to just use the turn signals but I'm question is can I remove the rear module and hard wire signals?

Yes.
the 'rear module' is only a junction box. I went with the '09 tail light because I like it, but you can eliminate the oem lite & hardwire the signal lights if you have the turn signal/ stop lite conversion.

Awesome! Thats what I was thinking it was but I couldn't get an answer out of the local harley shop. Do I still need the converter if I buy three wire LED tail light inserts?

Here's what I did it's a link to the mods under $50 thread. I used new lights but you can use the stock turn signals with red lens.

If you're gonna use LED's you'll probably want a load equalizer to slow the flash rate back to normal. So you might as well get a Badlands Run/Turn/Brake module that has a built in equalizer.
