88 Electra glide rear turn signal bar lights won't work . Break light , fender tip light works the flashers blink but the blinker lights won't light up .I replaced the sockets it's got a good ground I tested the lights after fixing them I no they work
any help would be appreciated .
.thanks even replaced the blinker relay nothing
I'm not sure what you mean. The turn signal lights in the rear are only turn signals. They usually use a 1156 single element bulb. The lights in the front are run & turn signals and use a 1157 double element bulb.
If the rear turn signals don't work at all, usually toward the front of the rear fender there is a connector for the rear light harness. Start checking there and work your way back to the taillight/turn signals. Sometimes the wire under the fender will get torn up by the tire.

They work if u turn the flashers on. Someone had wire nutted the wires together I went through it and sodered all the wires back together and used heat shrink so there is no bear wires. The brake light works the fender tip light works. But have no running lights or blinker lights. But again the 4 way flashers work.
Like I said I fixed that cluster F*** Gona pull the fender back of tomorrow see if I have the wires in the right place . Still don't understand why the flashers work though
If the rear turn signals aren't blinking when you activate the turn signals, test the directional flasher. If they do flash when you hit the turn signal but you mean that they are not on when you deactivate turn, then that's how they operate. All of these bikes, older than 2014, only have the brake light as a running light from factory. In 2014 they got rid of the brake light and the turn signals are run, turn, brake.
I know the diagrams I posted aren't the best. That and I can't seem to find a way to put a little space between the 2 diagrams. Anyway I see 2 separate flashers, 1 for the 4-ways and 1 for the turn signals. It looks like power goes to the signal flasher on the Orange wire and I assume would come out of the flasher as a pulsing/flashing power that goes to the handlebar turn signal switch. From the hand controls it goes to the 4-way switch (PK & TN wires). I stopped looking after that point (going cross-eyed looking at diagram), but I assume that it comes from the 4 way switch to the turn signals on the BN & V wires.
If I'm right with my assumption, then maybe a good place to start checking for turn signals would be at the 4-way switch PK & TN wires. If they don't flash there then backtrack to the turn signal flasher.
I think you'll find that the output for the 4 ways goes out to the bulbs on the same wires that the turn signals should use BN & V. The Yellow going to both sides of the 4 way switch I think would be pulsed/flashing power from the 4 way flasher. It looks like an Orange wire provides power to both of the flashers.
Another thought just occurred yo me. The power coming out of the flashers might not be flashing without a load that would be provided by the bulbs. I don't have any way of checking this thought. Let us know what you find.
After looking at your photo, you might need more than 1 sixpack .... good luck.
