Default West Coast T-bars install?

Hello all,

I'm gathering parts for a wide glide conversion on my street bob, and probably going to switch to some 12 or 14 inch WC T-bars. My question is will i need to extend my cables with either of these bars being internally wired, and if so how much length will i need.

Thanks,

Joe

Not sure if this helps, but when I changed out my factory bars to street slammers the factory cables worked fine.

I bet the cables and wires will work fine. On your bike your stock apes are a little wider than the t-bar. Also even though the apes are considered 10.5" tall, you also have riser height as well. The 12" T-bar should be very close to the same height as your current bars, although the end rise is higher(meaning the apes bend down more towards the end of the grip). You should have a couple of inches of play in the wiring and cables so your stock stuff should work with the 14" bars also. Personally I would get the bars and install. If you can use all the cables, great, If you need a little more length, then buy what you might need. For instance all cables and wires may work except the clutch or something like that.

As far as I know and have seen, stock should work. You may need to just tug a little excess out.

Wires and cables will be fine.......I have west coast 14's and they measure 15" from the base to the center of the bar.

Bolts I got at the stealer along with my poly busings........size I dont remember but they charged me like 4 bux for both bolts.
