Default Good test ride

Got a good test ride in today with my new set-up and I love it. Its like riding a totally different bike. I was a little worried the Super sweep bars were going to be to much pull back but man are they comfortable.

The Heat Demon Grip Heaters work great. It takes a few miles to heat up but they get nice and warm. My thinner leather gloves and those will work on the coldest days. I am going to order there seat heater next.

I do miss having a tach a little but its not a big deal.

Bob- When you were cruzing the Carlini web didn't you see the gauge cups for your bars ? I think it would look great.

Glad the test ride was a success. You did a great job on the build and the bike looks killer.

Ya I have seen them. This are actually the original bars I was going to go with before I put the 07 SE bars on. I was going to use there cup for the speedo. I decided to go with the SE bars instead.

Now that I have the bars I orginally wanted and have them clean, I dont want to mount a tach or anything on them. I also sold my tach to Jackjr along with the bars.

If I miss having a tach to much I will go with the HD combo or one of those mini digital ones.

Default good ride

That is great that you got some driving time in. I have averaged just over 50 miles a day since 2/22/10 so as of today I broke the engine in at 523 miles, finally.

I'm used to no tach with my 07 Sportster, but I would like that gauge also.

The bike rides far more comfy/stable than my other, let alone almost double the CI/cc's. I can't wait to go to a bikefest tomorrow, so I can open her up more than I have, due to breaking in the big-D.

Glad everything worked out and things are comfortable for you with your new setup Bob. We're supposed to be in the 40's today and tmw, and sunny.. work's going to have me on the road today, but tomorrow.. who knows. I'd really like a chance to get out and do the same thing.
