my short shots have a pinging when you throttle, its high pitched and really pisses me off. I had standard baffles, thought maybe the quiet would help no dice. It is worse now than before....so maybe bct baffles any body got them? do you like them? I am eventually buying a new pipe but really wanna hold off until I pay the bike off. then I want to do my motor work. so any thoughts.

 

Don't think any practical baffle will work for you. You could probably use a tuner to make it better or different, but I think what you describe is just a V&H thing that some love and some hate.

 

Short shots are one of the nastiest sounding set of pipes I've ever heard. They sounds like **** no matter how ya slice it. Fugg them things!

 

difficult to get a good sound out of a short pipe like those...just save up for a thunderheader or nice deep exhaust...

 

i have a buddy that will buy those off you if you want to sell them! let me know

 

If you don't like them, don't invest anymore cash trying to get them to sound more to your liking. I'd take em off, sell em, and buy a Bub or Rinehart system. Check em out on youtube. They have an excellent deep sound.

Nothing wrong with my short shots. As a matter of fact I get a lot of compliments on the sound (no baffles) and they sound really good while getting on it or while doing a burnout!!

 

Mine sound great. When I put them on, me being me had to run the bike right away before doing the tuner. I had a odd ping like you said but once the tuner was on and set everything was fine.
