The guards serve a purpose. If you hate the way they look that badly, take them off and live with a little more risk than if they were on.

It's easy enough to remove the guard and you can always put it back on if you so decide.

I think that whoever has a chrome lower belt guard that would fit an 05 model should take it off and then send me a PM because mine is cracked again and I need a new one.

So I guess if you ride solo and can stand a slight risk of belt damage which from what I'm hearing may happen with the belt guard on, I guess you should take it off.

Seriously though. I have mine on but I removed it on my previous bike. I always ride solo though.
