Default Belt Guard

Are there any repercussions of rmoving the belt guard? I think my iron would look much better without it. I have seen some folks do it, just curious.

Thanx

Some will say that you are more prone to get a rock or pebble between the belt and sprocket. Others will also say there is danger of a passenger getting their pant leg caught in the belt. My guards have been off since shortly after I purchase my bike and I have had no issues. I prefer the look without the guards on.

I'm with you. I've been wanting to do this along with the front fender. I think the only issue would be if you had passenger pegs. If so, I think it would be a passenger safety issue.

No passengers will be on my bike, so I think I just may go for it.

I was actually looking into doing this soon. Got the bike not too long ago and it's still on for now. Any bike I've had I remover the belt/chain guard. So damn ugly!

No repercussions as of yet--I only ride solo but if was going 2-up I'd definitely keep the top guard in place. Adds a nice open look, I think. One of these days I'll get my Joker M. sprocket cover on as well to open things a little more and lighten the bike a pinch.

Off the top of my head I'm thinking it was a T50--can someone else verify this for me?
