Default '10 WG -passenger pilon little back foam squares

Man, when you remove the stock passenger pilon, those little black square are FUGLY.

problem is, if i remove them, and i want to use the pilon for the woman, my fender will get all mucked up.

my fatboy many moons ago had some clear plastic on the fender.

IS anyone else using anything??

btw..i am beginning to think accommodating the woman for rides is waaaay overrated.

Put the pads on the pillion instead of the fender

I ordered new rubber pads from HD and will stick them directly on the pilon. You can see fours squares made on the bottom of the pilon.

Wouldn't sticking them to the pillion scratch up the fender if the person sitting on it moves? I only run my pillion if I am putting someone on the back. I love the way mine looks with the bare fender, but I did go buy the backrest for the stock sissy bar.

I put it all on lastnight for the first time for a ride with the girl.......she had no complaints. I just gotta figure a way not to scratch the hell out of my fender for when I take it back off.

I just checked out that pillion you listed junkinator......have any pics of it on your bike? Looks like it's a bit taller than the stock one...would it work as well with the backrest pad?

DOES NOT WORK..I did this and it failed misserably. Not only does the seat shake and scratch the fender but the rubber bumpers now scratch the fender.

Depending on the weight of your 'ol lady, the rear fender is probably gonna scratch either way. I took mine off, reapplied them to the seat itself, and yep, scratches. My assumption is that this probably would have happened with them on the fender as well. My girl only weighs around 120lbs, so my feeling is that if you want to remove the pillion at all you might as well plan on just dealing with the scratches. I just plan to buff and polish them out periodically.

Just my 2cents.

HD sells the clear stuff that sticks on like tape and it does in fact make the scratches look as if they are no longer there.

I should mention, they showed it to me at the dealership.
