That part number doesn't look right. I thought all SE pistons started with a 22.....I think the flattop is 9.3 or 9.4 to one. There aren't too many cams out for the new chain set up but I think the Andrews 26H would be Ok but it is kind of a bagger cam. The 37H is good for lighter bikes like a Dyna but is optimized at 9.8 compression ratio. You could get close to that with an .030 head gasket.

Your choices are very limited. The '06 Dyna and all '07 TC cams are a new design. The aftermarket companies have not started producing them yet. Should be available pretty soon, though.

Your SE choices are limited to 3. The stock heads can't take a whol lot of lift, .520-.530 is probably about max., Certainly no more than .550. Otherwise they are very good and don't need any work for a good street engine. They also come with bee hive valve springs, which are an excellent performance part.

A lot of people use the 203, because that's what comes in the kit. Personally, I think it's way too mild.

The 204 (IMO) is a better all around cam. Cylinder pressure is close to stock. Still get a smooth idle, good torque down low, with a torque peak around 3,500-4,000. It's all done by 5,500. This is what I'm using, and I like it. For your build I think it would be excellent.

The 211 is a lot of duration, 248/256. And a fairly late intake closing, 46*. Lift is still reasonable at .508". This would be a good high performance street cam for a high compression motor and the other mods to go with it. I think you would want to do some head porting to take advantage of the duration. But then you would probably alter the valve springs and seals to use more lift, and then the 211 is not a good choice. Then the 251 or 253 cams start to look like better choices.

Since you don't have a cam yet, I would wait. I think one of the aftermarket companies will soon have the perfect cam. Something between the 211 and 204 in duration, but with a little more lift, like .535'ish.

But, that's just my opinion. I could be wrong.

I'll go to the dealer today and see if they can tell me which pistons these are. The box just says S.E. piston kit. one sticker has SS0062-00 and S-103. The other sticker that says race app. only has a # -P+A59253. oregonrider.

IMO, the 203's are not worth the trouble. Hindsight, I should've done the Stage I 95" kit and waited for a good gear drive cam set.

Dealer says they are the flattop, std. comp. ratio so I guess thats about 8.9 to 9. In that case I guess the 204 or an aftermarket in about the same range would be best. oregonrider.
