Wow !! Full Face Helmet
I just took the plunge too and bought a EXO-700 :

- Much less cooling. I don't care what you say, all vents fully open and even with the visor up, this thing is an oven. It is also one of the best venting helmets out there according to most reviews and yet I didn't feel a thing as far as wind was concerned. Beanie destroys it in this instance. Wind in your face is an unbeatable experience.

But when I put the visor down there is a flow of air moving past my face. Here in the desert we don't want a real blast of air over our face. At least during the summer. Just a thought.

You'd think that "even with the visor up" and my 120 km/h comment you'd understand that I did ride it with both. Obviously, I didn't put up the visor at 120 km/h because I wouldn't have been able to see a thing. Try running with an open face helmet, then you'll understand why all the venting in the world is a poor subsitute.
And I've had the blast furnace hot wind feel, still better than no wind at all.
Again, still happy with my purchase because it does what I need it to do well, isolates me from the elements in case the elements aren't some nice warm breeze and a hot sun. As you can see from my sig pic, my old get up for cold weather wasn't top notch. Which reminds me, I need to work on a new sig pic...

I just purchased an Arai Quantum 2, now I understand what a good fitting helmet feels like. This helmet is actually more comfortable than any half helmet I've owned, and I can ride through anything, rain , behind trucks, bugs, you name it . Highly recommended
I have a FF I wear when the weather gets cold or I know it's gonna' rain. It's a cheap-o, but it works when I need it.
If you get fitted for a pair of custom ear plugs you can go back to your 1/2 or novelty helmet. I have Big Ears and they work great! I wear them regardless if I'm using the FF, 3/4 or 1/2 helmet.
It's hard to explain to other riders who don't wear plugs just how much more enjoyable the ride is when the wind isn't tearing your ear drums out.

I wear ear plugs when I ride with a half helmet, sometimes with a full helmet, and always when doing everyday things like grinding metal, cutting, trimming the yard. Sometimes I wear them just because I may wanna save that days hearing for when I am older. I am an ear plug wearing fool and I support this message.
I purchased the Shoei RF1100 and am very satisfied. Pressure on the cheeks took some getting used to... not because it was uncomfortable, just because it was different from what I was used to with my 3/4. Ventilation on the Shoei is great, and helmet is actually cooler than my 3/4. With all six vents open, I can feel the air blowing the few hairs I have left on the top of my head. Fogging is occasionally an issue (at stop lights on hot days) but cracking the visor one click when stopped solves the problem.
Only real negative I have found is that I have to actually tip my head down slightly to check the speedo when wearing the FF. With my 3/4, I could keep my head still and just glance down with my eyes, but FF does block my vision when glancing down.
Just wondering if any other FF wearers find this to be an issue.

I had an open face until I took a dragon fly on the chin. That was nasty. I bought a ff helmet and haven't looked back. I also wear ear plugs every time I ride to save the hearing. It's also nice when I pass on-coming semi's and not have my face sand-blasted.
Just my thoughts.
Just my thoughts.
Made the mistake of taking off with the FF and the textile jacket this morning because of some wet weather brewing. Unfortunately, everything cleared up two hours later and the ride home in traffic and sun was harsh.
Visor up, Visor down, all vents fully opened, nothing was helping at all.
No saddlebags on the bike to dump stuff either. First time I've been happy about arriving home after a ride.
