Default Homemade highway pegs...

Had never done anything like this before. Took some metal, cut it with a torch, cleaned it up, heated it to bend and drilled some holes. Attached to scoot and here it is... Pretty easy really.

I'm new to this forum and can't seem to view your pics. Can you post them inline. I don't seem to have trouble viewing pictures in other posts. I just got a 06 Dyna and want a cheap way to get highway pegs on.

My uncle had a piece of 1/4 metal laying in his shop, just long enough for these. So no $ on the materials at all. Pegs cost $8.95 at a local off road cycle shop and bolts and washers cost about $5.00. I made the bottom hole really long, so they are actually adjustable about 6". They are not perfect, but they look pretty good and are real sturdy!

Real nice to see somebody doing stuff like this on his own. Proof positive that parts for your bike don't have to come out of a catalog.

Good job! I like to make my own stuff, but don't have all the equipment needed here...so I'm just happy doing as much of my own mod/maintenance myself.

Post that in the 'Under $50' thread. Sounds like it qualifies.
