Default I have screw problems!

Literally! Every screw I have touched in the last week I have stripped! What is my mother f'in problem!!!!

I put the edge cut brake pad on my bike...well I'm trying to. The screw from harley wasn't working and I stripped it, went to the hardware store got another one, stripped it. Now I can't get the biotch out! How do I get it out!!!! As soon as I get it out I think I have this stripping thing figured out! Good hell...I'm ready to scream....I have never stripped this many screws in my entire life!

I don't have much room to saw it off...I tried that and it cuts into my pads on the brake pad...I tried vise grips and anything else I could get a grip on...it's good and stuck....

If you can put up a picture of what you're dealing with someone might be able to offer some advice. Weird that you couldn't get it out with vice grips if you only used a screw driver to put it in.

Assuming that you're thinking getting the head off the screw will allow you to remove the pad to get a better grip on the shaft, could try drilling through the head, same size bit as the shaft of the screw, risky but may work if you're careful. Otherwise see if you can get at it with a grinder, or dremmel tool, or worst case put in a vice and spend half a day with a file .... pics would help.

God, I just read this, seriously not getting dirty with you, all that talk about screws, shafts and head, holy ****, OK, I'm gonna shut up now before I get in trouble.

OH, yeah if you do get it out, before you put another one in chase the thread with a tap first, GENTLY!!!

Ha ha...

Seriously though, you do realize those caliper bolts are metric right? You need a 10mm 12pt socket.

That's NOT the advise I got! Nor the feedback I've got from the ladies.

Now the that screwed strip.....err.... stripped screw. Might be worth investing in some needle nose vice grips to get a good hold on whatever is there. And, firmly but carefully twist that sucker out.

Bones.

Robottom!!! You're killing me!

I tried every pair of pliers and vise grips available...I was using the metric socket deal not the screw driver....I'm at a loss, how about one of you smart men come over and do it for me!!!

Sooooo tempting, but you're just too far away sweetie.

You gotta get a hold of the head and some of the shaft, squeeze really tight, twist slowly and pull gently. (Then duck, ... or not)

OK, a little dirty but you caught me with a few down the hatch.

Question: Are you not able to use the metric socket because the head of the bolt is completely rounded off?

Pictures dear!!, You're leaving us guessing and wondering, you're teasing us...

You know many years ago my nickname was Tease!

I will get pictures when the sun is out...if I put the metric socket in there it just spins around and doesn't catch a thing. I should have known better when the bolt started to get tight before it was even halfway! I can grab the head of it, I can squeeze the **** out of but if I try to turn nothing happens except whatever I am using flips off and pinches me or I drop it then I have to swear! I'm seriously just going to get a better hacksaw and cut the b!tch off because this is not worth it....

I'm not too far away, grow a set of bolts and get your a$$ here to help my retarded a$$!
