Default Extension Kits

Hi all
I am a tall guy 6'6" 240 lbs and I ride a 09 DYNA Fat Bob with forward controls. I have put a TallBoy seat on and I am now considering extensions. I found these http://www.kuryakyn.com/index.cfm/go...ID/23/IMID/230
Kuryakyn makes pretty good stuff, what is anyone else doing for extension kits?

I have the same set from Kuryakyn on my 95 Wide Glide. I do have to say that they were extremely easy to install. Only took me about 45 mins.

I installed the 3" extended Kuryakyn forwards on my FXD and they are a good fit for my 34 inch inseam. Mine looked a little different than the ones that you referenced, but the reach and quality should be the same.

I have a lot of other Kuryakyn parts on my bike and the fit and finish is always very nice. My only complaint is that the chrome fasteners are too often not up to par. I don't know what grade they are, but some are very very weak, way weaker than even a grade 3 bolt. Even the cotter pins that they supply are about two sizes too thin.

Kuryakyn advises to use their anti-seize lube on all fasteners, then barely gives you enough. Make sure to use it, or use your own. Even after using anti-seize, I still snapped off two bolts just trying to remove them a month later to make a change. Those bolts were just chromed junk metal.

Otherwise, I like Kuryakyn products a lot and plan to buy more in the future.

Fitted these to my Street Bob, and where an easy mod, and really made a huge difference to the quality of the ride - go for it

The extension kit is on back order until mid sept.
The tallboy seat is good, it did add room however more will be better. Plus it is better for a passenger

I have the 3 in. extensions on my '03 FXDWG and love them to death. I'm 6'6". On back-order till mid-Sept.? Check J&P or Dennis Kirk. They probably have it in stock.
