Default Rear bearing failure

Great day for ridin.
A buddy has a suspension problem so we switch bikes/
End up going to his place to chill .
On the way home to grab shorts and go back i hear a grind in the *** end.
So i head back to his house right.
Noise getting worse and worse........not too far to go.
turns out my right rear bearing is major fukt..
Lucky it didnt bail while out with kid on the highway.
Anyway turns out he had one at his place. ...Fixed in a couple hours
17000 k and bearing failure??
1 month after warranty expires..

I guess you change both bearings? I am on 28K with no problems, Stator failed MoCo covered the parts.

Mine went out at 14,500 miles - service guy says he’s seen a lot of them recently and on Dyna’s specifically. Cheap *** bearings apparently. Lots of threads on it. You can get aftermarket that are better.

Oh, mine ate my hub and they had to replace the whole rear wheel - under warranty. I wouldn’t want to know how much that would have cost.

25k on mine and lucky so far but after seeing threads about it I think I may want to do some preventive maintenance... What aftermarket bearings do you guys suggest (brands)?

Edit -- I see that "All *****" isn't slang..... actually a bearing manufacturer...lol

I bet all 2008-up bikes... pretty common failure for them. I recommend changing all 4 bearings with DECENT 6205 bearings like NSK, *** & co, NEVER with the OEMs, they are chinese ****.

cheers
