my bud went down monday ,due to driver texting while driving.....head on at 70 ,he lost his leg from knee down ,concussion, but i talked to him today hes in good spirits ...coulda been worse...he was on his way to very hospital he ended up at for a dr.visit...hes been clean and sober since february...lets hope and pray he doesnt have a set-back because of pain meds .hes at lsu-shreveport la room 25 8th floor name: steve r. milam 1(318)675-5000....he'll be there a while..thanks powg

ahh man i am sorry for your buddy. i always make a point to yell at people that are texting and driving. we had a lady kill a few younger guys on rockets early this summer cause of that, jsut sad! Rumor has it that a few of the bike clubs out here will reach in the car and toss the phone when they pull up next to someone texting, but i have yet to see it, HOPE TO THOUGH!

 

Hope he gets better soon, as well as he can. Similar thing happed to a buddy's dad but he didn't make it.

 

ya know in todays hi tech world ...if them bastards could put a man on the moon ,why cant they install a frequency device that would render the phone useless,for calls/texting while the trans/engine is in motion ....have to park to use phone. option 2 put an explosive dye pack( like the banks use to thwart/id robbery suspects )..in phone to go off if used while in motion...makes me wonder if the moonshot was a hoax all along.thanks for caring ...if yall call steve tell him kevin put this out on the net ....hope he gets back in the saddle ..soon ,his heritage is toast....but his spirit isnt...he goes by the nickname ''scout''...hes a marine veteran.semper fi

 

Hope he recovers soon. Had a friend of mine go down hard a few days ago. He may not survive it, sadly.

Personally, I think the only way you should be allowed to use a phone while driving is via Bluetooth or hands-free.

Anyone caught holding their phone behind the wheel oughta have their license suspended and be fined at least $1000. Anyone caught texting should be dragged out onto the shoulder and beaten with a car antenna for awhile.

Penalties are far too light for things like this that can kill other people.
