Default Keeping cool

On a stock 2010 Fat Bob , is it worth it to add a 3rd party A/F module to keep engine cool???? or is an oil cooler a better solution??? not interested in performance change just cooling. Does a stock bike run cool enuf as is??

Heat is only a really major concern when you are stopped - like when you are stuck in traffic. So with a oil cooler, the only really added benefit comes from the extra oil that's in your bikes system circulating through.

I'm pretty sure you can still get fan kits on touring models... Other than that I'm not really sure what other options are available.

Depends where you live. If the find the engine temp is high and it feels like your nuts are cooking when stuck in traffic then I'd fit some Xieds to drop the heat the engine produces.

I have both an oil cooler and a Lenale fan but if I had to only have one it would be the fan. If you search this forum you will find an excellent thread of tests run on the fan that actually kept the guys engine out of heat managerment mode.
