Default Burly Shock Break In Question

Hello, after putting close to 1000 miles on my burly slammer kit. I have noticed that the rear of my bike is sitting a good bit lower (about 1/2 an inch or a little more) than when I installed the shocks. I have the shocks set at the 2nd notch from the lowest/softest setting. I was planning on just moving the shocks to the 3rd notch but wanted to see if anyone else had experienced this? The shocks have definatley gotten a workout riding to the beach, 2up at the beach, back home and then around town (bad roads).

I've only got a couple hundred miles on mine but I can already notice them softening up a little, I assume that means they will settle/lower a little. they are on the lowest setting now as they were too harsh when I first installed them on the second from the bottom notch. I'll probably move them up as they break in.

I have a couple thousand miles on mine and they definately feel softer but I haven't noticed them sitting lower. They could be though.

mxerwithabob: looking at your rear rim ours sit pretty close. The fender covers the top of the rim and when I installed them new you could see the whole rim.

jbrown4217: what notch do you have yours set at?

I'm just gonna bump them up a notch.

mine has sat like that since I installed them, I think if they have settled it hasn't been much.

lhgdale mine is set on the first setting, the least spring preload. Looking at mxerwithabob mine sits right at the same height it's just harder to see the black fender against the black wheel in my sig pic. Like him I beleive this is where it has sat since I installed them.
