Default Rear shocks

Hi guys new to the forum here! I was wondering what is a good setup to replace the rear air shocks with some progressive spring shocks. I like to hit the mountain roads around me looking for something a little more responsive and adjustable to my style. I see that there are many options out there but was wondering what people are running and how they like them compared to the stock set up. It’s a ‘13 street glide to.

I have the Super Shox adjustable shocks. A great addition without all the sag adjustment that other brands require. They run about $630.

I will have to give those a look. I also have a 21" front wheel with the front forks lowered an inch. I would like to to go to a shorter shock to lower the bike a little for my short legs haha would going to like an 11 or 11.5 make much of a difference in the ride of the bike as well?

I would check Pro-Action out. They have shocks down to 11" and are fully adjustable and they set them up for your's and your passenger's weight.

Give the guys at Super Shox a call. They can set you up with a full length shock to give you the travel you need and also sit lower like you need. Great folks to deal with.

Great shock for the money. They’ve been around for a while. Also, before I started lowering the shock length,I’d look into a lower profile seat first.

There are indeed many options for rear shocks, indeed too many to summarise simply. Deciding on which brand and model isn't a simple task! If you only ride solo your options are legion, but if you like to ride with your favourite person, then take more care in your choice. The reason is simply that many shocks struggle with a passenger on board, only the more expensive ones provide a good quality ride for you both IMHO, especially if you want to take long trips.

If you are bored, there are zillions of threads on shocks!

Super Shox are adjustable for sag, just like all other decent shocks!

Ditto on what grbrown said. Plenty of threads with opinions.

i went with Bitubo 13" rear shocks and Progressive FST front cartridge from DK Custom. Happy with set up.
I have a 2016 Limited and ride 2up 40-45% of time. Im 310 and girlfriend 135.
