Todd, I understand torque and HP about the same as you: torque gets you goin, and HP keeps you goin when the tach winds up past the torque's peak. To my simple mind, if you ride it like you stole it (which I tend to do), then you'll want good torque AND good HP. I never redline my bike, but I definately spend time in that neighborhood. With 85 HP (not huge, but well over stock), I've got enough to keep my happy up there.

Z

PS: torque just happens also to be 85.

Hey Denimstreet I notice by your sig your bike is cranking out 100hp/105tq will it throttle wheelie? What I mean is will it loft the front wheel by just twisting the throttle? I miss wheelies but don't want to fry my clutch.

Special, it definately will but it is 650lbs and I'm not going to try it! I can lift the front wheel moving down the highway if i crackle it enough! On dirt bikes I used to ride down the road and shift gears while doing a wheeley. I could literally go for a couple of miles on one wheel. If this bike ever came back on me or went sideways it would be a disaster. So I'm happy cruising. I am 45, after all.

OOps...... got it a little bigger there than I planned, but what are you sayin. You are just a baby at 45 years old. LOL
I'm 52, and just a kid. I understand not pulling the wheelies, though.

That is a lotta power on any bike!!!

Lol, I agree, riding keeps me young. It keeps your "spirit" young. But, wheelies on a 650 lb Harley? I dont think I wouldn't have done that when I was 20. Only difference is when I was 20 I would have wanted to protect my bike and now I want to protect my bike AND my body!!!!!

Great feedback so far. Thanks. Now, after having SE pipes installed, rejetting, what else do you guys suggest for modifications to increase HP/Torque.

This is the slip from my Dyno run. I didn't run it stock, so i cant say what the base numbers are. All i did to my bike was put on a hypercharger, and Vance and Hines big shots, so the baseline dyno was with the mods already done. The second run is after i had the tuner remap it with a sert.

SERT and Dyno time $750.00

Sound and feel of a well tuned bike - Priceless....
