Backwards wired headlight?
I bought an HD replacement headlight for my WG and put it on without difficulty. It came with the proper connecter installed, the wire colors matched the bike wiring harness and it was in a box with factory shrinkwrap when I picked it up. Oddly, the high and low beams were BACKWARD (low beam when the switch was on high and vise versa). I fixed it by reversing the wires at the plug but thought it was pretty inexcusable in a $350 HD part. Has anyone else seen this kind of poor part preparation?
yes.... mine does the same thing... I wondered what was up with that. I left mine........................................

Yes, but it isn't just HD.
I have yet to get anything through Harley that wasn't perfect (so far)....... Well except the SuperGlide.

Maybe you put the headlight in upside down???
if not, just use a jewelers screw driver to pop the wires out of the plug and switch them to where they need to be
