I'm wondering if you got the right year housings, doesn't seem like you should have to drill anything.

+1.....

According to H-D parts list p/n 70222-96B fits '96-later VRSC™, XL, XR, Dyna® and FLHR models. Also fits '96-'10 Softail® models. Does not fit FXSTDSE and FLHRSEI2 models.

Instruction sheet even says:

"NOTE
All 2007 and later models have a Clutch Interlock Switch in the left side handlebar switch housing. Note location and orientation of clutch interlock switch before removing from switch housing"

This leads me to the question: what brand & p/n are you trying to install?

The only p/n I could find up to now is 70222-96B!

Did they come in a H-D packing and what did the label read?

If you're sure the vendor cheated on you, I'd get in contact with him, open a case at Ebay and ask your many back!

If this hole for clutch switch is really the only difference I don't think I would mess with mail and stuff to get the right part. Hmmm...but you have to buy the bit, and their screw up shouldn't cost you. Maybe I would get them to send you the right piece. Anyway, just so this post isn't pointless, make sure you tape up the surface b4 drilling if you do drill it.

I'm gonna message him and see what he says. drilling it shouldn't be a big deal if I have to. I was thinking I should tape it so the chrome doesn't peel.
