Default Anyone running highway pegs w/one bolt?

Shitty day...I ordered highway pegs on ebay, of course no hardware included. I searched out dimensions of hardware and went to Home Depot then came home for the 5 minute install. Everything bolted up fine but TWO of the bolts snapped on the final turn of my wrench. Obviously I grabbed the wrong grade.

I went to Harley and got the good stuff, but my question is: Would it be unsafe/unsecure to use the pegs with one bolt holding the mount? I figure if I crank it down and use loctite I should be in good shape. One of the bolts that broke is flush in the hole so there's no way to remove it, the other one has a bit of thread hanging out so I'll have to go at it with some pliers.

I wonder if anyone has bolted up this way just to move the pegs an extra inch or two forward anyway, I wouldn't mind a little extra stretch as I'm pretty tall and lanky.

Ha, I probably will but just wanted to hear if anyone's done this. It would be pretty disastrous if it fell off on the freeway and hit my bike, my shin or another car. No bueno.

Try it out. Worst that can happen is it doesn't work.
