So many people love and miss the LowRider. I have a new '11 FXDC and i want to mod it to be more looking like the low rider. I do know that engine wise the new 96" + 6 gear is better, but there's plenty of time for you to get a newer model.
I'd keep the lowrider...

 

Unless you've already done them, you're also looking at $1,000 to upgrade the stock cam chain tensioners on your 05' in the near future.

Thanks for all the advice and opinions; I've made the decision to keep my Low Rider.

I think I was approaching the decision with too much thinking and not enough feel. I love my bike and it always brings a smile to my face every time I'm on it. Though logic and the specs say go for the 08, I'm gonna roll my 05.

For this season I'll be on my trusty steed, looking towards the future for another bike that I fall for!
