Remember, from the factory, these bikes are set up on the lean side to meet emission standards. Should you install the slip-ons without any mods, you should be able to tell when your bike is running too lean by the "low idle pop" when flicking the throttle. (I had it with the dealer download, screamin eagle slip ons and screamin eagle intake filter.

However, don't pay the dealer $180 for the download. You can get a Power Comander to ~$265 and set it to what pipes and intake you chose. Believe me, you will change the slip-ons one day for pipes!

I now have the SE filter, Power Commander and Samson BGIII's Street Sweepers (a deal at $350 on the Bay). No lean idle pop and no deceleration poping either.

Good Luck!

I have Screamin II's on my bike. Sound is good! Everything else on bike is stock! After about 3000 miles on the mufflers the bike is still running strong! No pops on decel .. but every once in awhile I'll get a little gurggle on decel .. not to often though. As the miles increase on these mufflers ... they sound better and better .. the tone gets deeper and looses some of that little tin sound it had when I first installed them!
Good luck with your choice

If you are using the 07 SE Slip-On mufflers, you shouldn't need to worry about an ECM update, the ECM will be able to compensate for the most part.....

Should you choose to use a different type of muffler (Cyleshack, Rush, etc...), you will probably need a Stage I, as the muffler dynamics are a little bit different, and more frre-flowing.....

Look, you have an 07... it has a very unique ECM program, it is called AFV (Adaptive Fuel Value).... In closed loop, it will learn, and modify the fuel curve......

06's and back lack this ablity, unless it is a BUELL.....

Ok Guys, here's the deal. You can't get SE IIs for the 06/07 Dynas. The mufflers offered are HDs and are 50 state legal. Not as loud as the SE IIs. The HD Stage 1 kit offers the A/C, the HD slipons, and a download. Mufflers are about 3 C Notes, A/C is another C Note and half, and the download is another is another C Note and half. This gives you about 10-12 ponies and about another 10-12 ft. #s of torque. The download pushes the RPM range out to 6200 rpm from its current 5500 limit.

I was disappointed with the HD Slipon sound, but it has improved over time. I was difinitely impressed with the HP/Trq, and the ability to stretch out my rpms to 6200.

I will be making other modifications as my warranty ends, but for the time being, a good dealer backs his modifications. Changing pipes, eliminating the O2 sensors, brings into play the addition of a SERT, PCIII, Power Commander and dyno tuning. Read the posts and choose for yourself what is right for you. But rememer "OBEWAN", "Choose Wisely".

Point being, do a little research first before you spend your money. If not, you will have to spend additional money to correct mistakes.

Cobalt, those are HD Bar & Shield pegs and the highway bars are HD rounds. Bars & Pegs set me back about $150.00.

True. Ask your dealer if they have any warranty replacement units in stock. They keep a unit or two of a lot of parts for replacement purposes. Since the SE-2 slip-ons have been out of circulation for a year, there's no warranty need anymore. That's how I got mine (40% off too).
