Since you popped a fuse when you initially ran the wires did you also check the breakers as well? The pinched wires you mentioned earlier might have something to do with it as well. They might not appear to be cut but under the insulation they might be damaged. I would either fix the wires or check them for continuity with an ohm meter just to be sure. One last thought, did you cut the wires or did you take the connectors apart. if you cut the wires how did you re attach them? It could be a faulty connection. If you took the connectors apart verify that you put the wires back in the correct locations. Since the bike ran before you did the work it must be related....

I actually put my wires on backwards after painting my engine... From that day forward I told myself I wouldn't drink so much when working on the scoot... I might actually adhere to it someday.
