Default blinker/mirror

Hey guys Im new to this forum and as new to HD's as well. I bought a 2012 wide glide 2 weeks ago and love it. The only problem I have is my blinker/mirror kepts getting really loose on me. The bike has about 250miles on it and Ive had to tighten then up twice. Is this a normal thing? The bike has no storage so its a pain to carry around a wrench or socket once I was about 20miles from home and had to hold the mirror still so I could make it to my work to fix it. Kind of a pain.

Thanks
Rodney
