Default Chrome cleaning?

I have a few pieces of chrome that have minor scratches on them and I wanted to ask, can it be buffed out? If so please explain what you would do and use?

Thanks alot Everyone!

Onces chrome is scratched, it is scratched. Buffing on it will usually only result in a hazy spot.

Got the same problem...and have only gotten the same results (i.e. haze) no matter what I try. The never dull stuff from Eagle One is pretty good...it can help with metal surfaces...but with the chrome, it's really difficult to get them scratch free.

Strange as it sounds, you can use some super-fine steel wheel to polish out very minor scratches. I read about it here and was skeptical until I tried it, but it works. I think I'm useing 0000 steel wool. It's also great for removing stains from your pipes, like burnt rubber, plastic, road grime, etc.

You can get some minor improvement with 0000 steel wool saturated with chrome polish, but mostly you just have to live with it.Price you pay for using the bike for what it was intended. Ride and enjoy.

Good Luck
