Adds a very clean look to the bike.

Yeah I've had a few people say that I should remove the tank lift. The reason I like it is because it makes the tank follow the line from the seat bucket all the way forward. I've always thought that the stock height on the Fat Bob tank looked weird.

Thanks man. I think it makes the whole bike.

Here's a couple better pics. I'm still waiting on a real nice sunny day to get some pics where the chrome really pops. On a side note, I'm glad I got the trim ring for the headlight. It seems like the point that the fender comes to in the rear and the point the headlight eyebrow comes to in the front makes it all flow really well.

Default Strut cover question

Thanks for the tips. I'll definitely reference this when I start to do the install.

Yeah after I saw your bike lowered I couldn't wait, especially after I found out that the strut covers from a low rider/super glide would fit. They're chrome and were actually cheaper than the black ones so the project suddenly became affordable lol. Thanks for the inspiration. If I hadn't seen those pics you posted I probably wouldn't have ordered all the parts yesterday haha. Cheers!!!

I know this is an old threat but, would you be able to tell me which strut covers work for the fender change? I see you said that low rider/super glide ones will fit. Do you have the part number for these. I have a 2010 fat bob and I'm getting all the parts I need for the wide glide fender change.

I had to use the ones from the 2010+ WG. I got some false info and the chrome ones from the low rider, street bob and super glide won't fit with out modification. The complete parts list is in this thread:

I might be willing to sell mine for less than harley wants. I forget the part # and how much I paid but I remember they weren't cheap.
