hello i recently bought a set of vance and hines pipes from someone on craigslist for a very good price he said they were off of an 06 fxd , i have an 00 fxdx and i did a little research and everyone seemed to say the would fit , so i got them and they went on no issues , well until i went to change my oil, the back pipe is right in the way resting on my oil cap i cant get the cap off to check or fill my oil with out completely taking the exhaust off, is this normal ? is there any difference in the 5 and 6 speed trans change made in 06? any help is much appreciated

 

That is normal if you are running pipes designed for an '06 up Dyna on an '05 down Dyna. The oil cap location was moved in '06.
