I don't (but really should) for local trips, maybe 20 miles or less. Anything over about 60 MPH and I am putting on a helmet, I get tired of taking a beating from the wind/noise/bugs etc. I actually just bought a new Bell Custom 500 Helmet about an hour ago to go with the bike in my sig pic.

1/2 - 3/4 - full - weather/ ride dependent = because I choose to - to each his own and will never support a helmet law, to each his own ...............

Always. A close friend was killed right in front of me because he refused to put on a helmet to test ride an MX bike, off road. I realized that if one can die in the dirt, imagine what could happen where lots of cars, trucks and 18 wheelers play. Lost two others, too, one would have probably been save if helmeted the other, it wouldn't have helped. tomp/dd50

I feel naked without a helmet. Just not my thing. Bugs and road crap slapping in the face....not fun for me. I'm a prior Sportbike rider so I'm always geared up. Arai full face or on occasion polo/jockey helmet.

I always wear a lid. I switch between a Vega half helmet and a HJC Full Face

About the only time i see more "no helmets" is maybe on a "bike night".

I was wondering how many of you wear a helmet and even don't have to?
helmet helmet helmet!

As a forum we think you should not wear one in others don't. But if they beat their heads against the wall then you should too. Dam son make up your mind if you want to or not. You are an adult so you decide.

In Colorado it's not required but I wear a full face HJC all the time. I feel safer when riding with a helmet and just don't give a crap of people think I'm cool or not. You got to do what makes you fell right. Screw everybody else. If they do or don't I dont care. Just the other day I seen a full patched Hells Angel wearing a ugly bright colored full face. I thought to myself, does anyone call him a *****? Whatever do what you want.
