Default Air Cleaner mod...

I just bought a Power Commander V and we installed it yesterday.

I posted this on another thread but thought that I should make a thread in case one else wanted to do something similar.

Power Commander is limited on the maps available for the 2012 models as of yet and the closest they had to my set up was a 2 into 2 Big Radius with a Screaming Eagle AC.

I called them and told them that I only had the Short Shots and that my Air Cleaner was being made and I will not get it for a month or so. He suggested that I drill holes in the backing plate of the stock air cleaner.

After taking it off and looking at it, we just removed the backing plate altogether and bolted the air filter and chrome AC cover back on for max air.

After loading the map, the bike sounds better and pulls harder. I do still have some decel pop so I know the map is not perfect for my bike yet.

The removal of the backing plate seems to work well and if you dropped about 80 bucks on a K & N replacement filter, she would really breathe.

I actually have the 2 into 2 Big Radius and the SE Stage 1 AC. The custom PowerVision map for it has left me with quite a bit of decel pop. I hope to get that resolved this weekend.

I'd interested in some too. I'm struggling to think what is holding the throttle body plus what's left of the air cleaner on the bike.
