Check your mods. Then take it to a pro.

Try cleaning your IAC with throttle body spray.

like nevil said clean the throttle body and the idle air control valve. They can get sticky and then the stepper motor will not work in the air valve. I always put a rag past the throttle blade to catch the crap from washing the throttle body. I don't want that crap going down the intake, but don't forget to pull the rag out!!!!

Is your ECM throwing any codes? If you have code thrown, when you start the bike your check engine light will either come back on after 4 seconds, or stay on longer than 8.

Your IAC valve will reset at engine power off... that's what is happening between your 'switch off' and the running lights blinking after about 10 sec.

I would also check for vacuum leaks... etc, anything that will knock your idle down anyway.

Does your bike idle okay when just sitting, or at first startup?

Weird, I was riding yesterday & when I came to a stop the bike killed. Started right up but wouldn't idle. Killed at every stop. Turns out the idle mixture screw fell out.

I had this same problem... took the advice of the guys on here and it ended up being IAC... simple fix, no issue no more
